Review: Anne Kathleen Giblet

Hey everybody! I’d like to wish all my fellow Americans a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. For now I have another great collection from Anne Kathleen. This one is called Giblet and is releasing on Black Friday. For each of these polishes I did only 1 coat and the came out very opaque! The top two photos for each are no top coat and no flash, then the bottom two have a top coat and flash.

Sana is a dark brown polish with a scattered holographic fine gold.

Bonus! I used Marbles For Polish Power with Anne Kathleen Thana brushed on for a rough gradient.

Again, I am very impressed with these polishes from Anne Kathleen. I absolutely love Thana, it’s so sparkly in certain lighting. Browns aren’t everybody’s color for polish, but these are very lovely choices for nail art or to wear on their own. The only thing about this collection was that the polishes were a little thicker than they usually are from this brand, but they are completely workable and go on smoothly.

You can get these polishes and more at http://annekathleen.com/ and look out for her sale that runs from Black Friday, Nov 28-Cyber Monday, Dec 1st. Sale is for 25% off all orders and code to use is: TURKEYTURKEY, plus new polishes coming out Dec. 1st as well!

Review: Anne Kathleen Snowfall In Silver

I’ve got quite a long post for you guys today, so please bare with me! I had the pleasure of trying out five new polishes from Anne Kathleen. The collection is called Snowfall in Silver and they are all stunning linear holo glitter toppers. I used two coats for each of these polishes, some go on a lot more opaque because of the amount of glitter, so they can be worn alone. Others are still pretty sheer with two coats so they’ll be better for a topper over other colors. They all went on nice and smooth, dried quickly and lasted pretty long for me. All photos on the left are without flash and all on the right are with flash.

It’s really hard to say which of these polishes are my favorite. The linear effect is much stronger in the polishes with less glitter, but the ones with more glitter are great to wear on their own. I really love Silver and Silvia and I love how linear the holo is in Sylvan. Which out of these is your favorite? Try them out for $10 each by shopping at http://annekathleen.com/

Review: My World Sparkles Lacquer

Hi everybody! I’ve got a new to me indie brand for you today. I tried out three polishes from My World Sparkles Lacquers.

The first was Rose Gold, it’s limited edition, so get it while you can! This polish is a shimmery rose gold that to me, leans towards a copper. The polish went on pretty smooth and it took two coats to be almost completely opaque, a third coat would give you complete opacity.

Next up is Fall Harvest. This one is also limited edition. It’s a cranberry jelly with red, yellow, and orange glitters. This was very sheer and I used three coats in these pictures. It wasn’t too thick for a jelly, so it applied easily and the coats weren’t too thick. I would recommend using it over a creme polish for a cool jelly effect.

Last I tried Pynk’d, an iridescent pink with hot pink and holo glitters. This one is also on the sheer side, but is opaque with three coats.

All three polishes are on the thinner side which I like, though I wish they were each just a tad bit more pigmented. The glitters in these polishes are smaller which is also a plus for me, though the brand does have some with larger glitters for those of you that like them. All polishes available at the moment are $8, a great price point! There are also other products you can get from My World Sparkles, such as jewelry and other makeup. Check them out now here!
